it jus really depends on what you mean with the question... if you mean that who is that rapper that if you go south, north, east memphis and hit and the streets u r most likely to hear bumpin... then its gotti no question... its not even close... if you mean who is the legends... then it's ball n g n three six........... n star got more play in nashville than buck so yall can kill the young buck talk... hell gotti probably got more play in nashville then both them to...

but ya what happened 2 3-6???? man they changed

As a fan of both groups. i can pretty much agree with u. although three 6 had a few a lyricists (koop, lord, early gangsta boo) ball and g's overall mic presence and lyrical delivery were much stronger. but the same can be said on the flipside. when it comes to production, dj paul and juicy j were leaps and bounds light years ahead of anything the suave house camp produced for 8ball and mjg

I bet everybody ITT that's saying 8ball & MJG are better than da 6, or that they are better than da 6's best rapper (Lord Infamous) never even heard most of Ball & G's best material because never use it as a point of reference. I find it funny that people that always include Ball&G as one of the best of all time (which they are) but never include some of their best work. the "on top of the world" album and everything that came after that is some sub-par shit compared to ball&G's underground mixtape shit from 91-93... As great as 8ball & MJG's early 90's material was, three 6 at their peak was superior in just about every way imaginable.... Ball&G at their peak ain't fadin' Lord Infamous lyrically when he was at his peak... that's not an opinion, THAT'S FACT! Anybody that says otherwise just dosen't have a clue as to what they're talking about, or their brain is too tiny to comprehend Lord's Lyrics...and i say this as a HUMUNGOUS 8ball & MJG fan that has heard EVERYTHING they ever released from 1991 on up, which includes some unreleased shit from the early 90's that has yet to even leak on the net.

Three 6 has a WAAAAAAAAY better overall catalog than Ball & G.

Three 6 has been more cosistent and made better music over a longer period of time

Three 6 was dropping non-stop top-notch quality music from 92-2002 and they just started to fall off over the past 5-7 years... Ball & G music has been going downhill since around '95

da 6double6's career >>>>>>>>>>>> bal&g

HANDS DOWN.

Now, having said all that, BOTH da 6 & ball&g >>>>>>>>>> 99.999% of any individual(s) or group in the history of the planet earth that have ever called themselves rappers.

Scarecrow im melting the flesh on your face like a napalm from vietnam or siagon

scarecrow the rowdeist bounty hunter but sometimes im collectin the corpses for fun

cut out the tounge so the screams are none cookin em medium rare well done

bullets be comin

they fly supersonic

you cannot out run it

the slugs are atomic they

piercin and burnin

i get so demonic

lord infamous gunnin

cant get away from it

i promise i punish an pay a nigga a deadly homage

you want a mob hit and im the nigga that you get trick

scarecrow the deadly jedi crucifix

cock back the hamma and fill you up with dents

castrate the nigga straight cut off his testicles then ill just feed em back to the punk bitch

ritualistic sacrifice is what you must partake in

pin em down in bloody pentagrams and then cremate him

hell has many horrors trick do you want to face them

many of my victims hang by meathooks in my basment

scarecrow im evil and in overload mode

come any closer ill take yo damn soul

infamous the bloody bounty hunter from the black sea

i can tell you maybe you see

what the fuck is wrong with me"

That SICK ass verse from Lord has no business on such a horrible song.

8 ball & Mjg=legends...

three 6=legends that are currently tarnishing their status

yo gotti=leader of the new school of memphis, some would say the king

playa fly=the underground king of memphis, never recieved da push he deserved..

kia shine=some love him, some think he a lame...i think he makes good music...

young buck=star of tennesee thats lookin to make a comeback...

project pat=one of the realest in hip hop..

It's funny how Yo Gotti still hasn't sold as many albums as Playa Fly OR Skinny Pimp even though he's had the promotional push of MTV & BET over the past few years and was once signed to Cash Money. And Fly & Skinny had none of that and has still outsold the nigga.

^^i call bullshit... unless ur givin them credit 4 3-6's sales then u might have a point... but gotti has capitalized off them rap game waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more then either one of them 2. and it's not even close... ya u could get all the cocaine musiks 4 free... but they made his show price go through the roof and his ringtones etc... them niggas ain't even in the same ballpark as what he is worth as an artist

I always wondered when that dude All Star was gonna come out he actually has a decent flow

I do hear him on a lot of mixtapes. I even heard a song with him Buck and Gotti and it was alright.

Matter of fact I don't even know if Yo Gotti is still with Cash Money
