SMH. Unbelievably sad. I didn't watch the whole vid but I read the link. Those guys probably couldn't swim. But that is no excuse not to call 911 or try to throw something out for the guy to grab or do something. Sitting and laughing while somebody dies? Who does that? That poor man was black and handicapped. How were they raised?

Recording, laughing and posting this shit online was some real scumbag shit but honestly there was nothing they could've done to save the man.

He was out really far into that lake, so they couldn't throw anything to him, and I doubt any of them were trained as lifeguards. You ever try to help someone panicked in the water? If they had tried to swim out to him, likely it would've turned from a 1 man drowning into multiple drownings.

And calling 911 would've done nothing, by the time the dispatch got all the info it would've been far too late.

I just don't understand why they would put this online, tho. That shit was terrible to hear him cry out in panicked state he was in.

Who knows if they could have saved his life or not? They didn't even try. One thing we know for sure is that they could have called 911 for help. They had a phone right there in their hands. They didn't even call after he died. They left him there and his badly decomposed body was found days later.

I had a friend when I was in middle school. His father was in a similar situation. He saw somebody drowning so he jumped in to try to save the person. But he couldn't swim, so he drowned trying to save somebody who was drowning.

Its not just a matter if you can swim or not, but even if you can swim, do you know how to put your arm around somebody and swim to safety with that person holding on? Probably not.

If you see someone drowning the best thing to do is call 911 and throw them something, anything that might help bring them to safety, but don't jump in the water and try to save them unless you're a certified lifeguard.
