Tattoos and color on black skin

I'm pretty in between. A LIL closer to dark skinned than light. Got a full sleeve with no colors except black, black grey and white. But I got a couple joints on my back with a lil green and red. They show up fine.

i'm in between-ish and I have a full sleeve with color.

reds, blues, greens, purples, pinks, teals, and oranges show up fine on me.

i'm allergic to white ink. i had it put in a piece and chunks of my flesh fell out. it healed fine in a few weeks but it looked like leprosy for a while

yellow ink does not show up on me

my best suggestion is to get with an artist with an array of different skin tones in his portfolio. don't ask us because it really depends on how good your artist is and how knowledgeable he/she is about skin tone and structure.

I really want to see pics I'm closer to light skin than dark. I'm probably not going to have color on mine you just don't see many pics of tatts on black skin no matter what shade you are from prominent tattoo artist.

I'm dark and you can see my tattoos. so It depends on how good your artist is with his craft. a lot of people do not tattoo on darker skin because of it "not" showing.

I'm very matter anti cute chicks getting tattoos. Except for the six months when I thought the paw prints on a chick's thigh was sexy, my reaction was always like, "Why?" Most of the time a tat on a cute is like a small mole, shit it just there and serves no fucking purpose and did shit to accentuate her look or much her sexier. Contrary to popular belief this tattoo movement isn't about expression, individuality, or depth of meaning, it's about conforming, going with a trend, and being caught in a fad, and if your a chick having a poor body image, coupled with the delusion that by getting a tat it would some how improve your appearance.

I love bare skin but if a brother is going to have a tattoo I'd prefer for it to be in black. I personally don't like colored tats on brothers but that's my opinion.

I would suggest looking at some photos, you can put some next to your skin, see what you like and do as you please dear.

I'm close to dark n I got bout 7-8 tats (still need to finish my sleeve, get my back piece, and some other) all of them show up rather well....my first tat was a portrait of mom dukes n my father almost 10 years ago...still get compliments on them

Nothing wrong with tats. I think dark skin should stick to black ink though.and it shouldn't be somewhere that makes you un-hirable like face, neck.and it should mean something important to you.

My home girls guy has a tattoo of George bush on a dollar bill that's on fire on his forearm. He says it has "symbology"behind it. smh.
