I actually was a big fan of Tucker Carlson's MSNBC show in 2006 because he was trashing Dubya and the Iraq War every day. He'd bring Bush supporters on there and pick them apart. He can be one of the smarter conservatives on TV, has a anti-drug war libertarian streak, and has always been good at outflanking hardline types in a debate. That "white supremacy" deflection @2:46 was embarrassing.

From beginning to end Tucker made Tariq....

1. Backtrack on about the Tweet

2. Deflect about the Tweet at length

3. Backtrack on his book and even worst declare that his book and "the game" in it to be learned was tongue and cheek and comedy (albeit many non-squares already knew his "game" was comedy).

4. Based on #3, he himself just publicly undercut the legitimacy his own platform and all of "the game" he advises on.

5. In my opinion, based on all of the above Tucker pulled his "player" card.

The only point Tariq made was on the Ben Carson question.

Here's the thing..there is NO upside to go on Fox News trying to fucking "win"..the only point is self promotion....It's not even about logic...it's about framing and perception. You can try to logically decipher shit and look for the fact of being right or wrong...but if you're made to look wrong you lose legitimacy in the eyes of the public.
