Mos Def is better, but Talib's catalogue is superior to Mos Def's catalogue...

Comparing them is like comparing Method Man and Redman, with Method being Mos, and Redman being Talib

Mos got a weak catalog. Meanwhile, the nigga Talib just released two hot albums almost back to back. RPM and Gutter Rainbows.

Yea, I'm goin wit Talib.

Train of Thought is about equal to Black on Both Sides

both their next best album is the same album, Black Star

after that, Kweli has a better catalog but Mos is the nicer MC skill wise

so it's almost too close to call. But I'm goin with Mos because Hi-Tek almost did more for Train of Thought than Kweli

Mos Def got a better flow, Talib the better lyricists

But Mos Def is hotter with the flow than Talib is with the lyrics

For Me Kweli edge's is because of his lyrics, and Mos tries to sing too much.

if Mos kept that high standard after Black on both sides he would have been top 5 DOA.

Kweli has more classics to his name.

.......basically

BOBS was a hiphop classic and ahead of its time!!
Personally one of the many albums/artists that inspired me to join the underground!!
...actually both of them played a major role in converting me

Every track on that album is still relevant to now!!
However, thats it! He did have some other nice tracks, but he really couldn't get to that
Black On Both Sides level, everything albumwise was either a freestyle-ish track(where he
takes a used beat and makes a new track outta it, for example "The Rape Over") or a track
where he is singing most of the time. And everything else is movies, lol!
Talib's catalogue is long and healthy, and he covers a variety of different lyrical content(He'll do a
party song, then do a empowerment song) In the underground hip hop culture, he is a straight hustler
to these tracks, so I have to give it to him.
