Not of all time, but he certainly have the body of work to compare to most of his peers.

He's not messing with Kanyes catalog, but I think his albums are better than Waynes (solo) albums.

How it aint?

Lol, we koo, and I can respect your opinion, but the difference in quality is a great one... College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation and MBDTF are all better than any T.I album. Those albums by themselves are better than any album that T.I has crafted and could ever make. In other words, T.I is incapable of making similar 'quality' work to Kanye's.

It's not a knock on TI tho. Kanye West is a artist/producer, and TI is not. Ye is going to put more effort into how his shit is going to sound. TI is not calling in live bands, and constantly tweeking the sound of the project like TI. One thing we know tho, TI is >>> Kanye as a lyricist.. But lyrics and cool beats you brought from others doesn't mean your album will have that effort like Ye's.

Thats besides the point bro, we talkin Kanye's 6 albums vs TI's 8 albums. Imo they both have 1 classic and 2 sub par albums. U do the math

WTF? You can't just say all of that is besides the point, especially since production is what moves the album along.

I'm just trying to be fair, but if you taking this far i really don't think any of TI's album is fucking with Late Registration or College Drop out. None.

College Dropout for sure(which is littered with features since u wanted to bring that up) but he also has the worst albums of the two.

IMO not only is TIP one of the best to do it, he's also one of the realest niggas in the game. Stop all the fuckshit and show love to a nigga who put Trap music (not that EDM trap bullshit) on the map

Naw you buggin fam. TIP the police, but he got a classic...

Naw, he don't...

His 2 best albums are not even in the discussion of the best albums of the year in the years they were released.

Trap Muzik (2003)

King (2005)

The popular opinion is Trap Muzik is a classic. Check the vault or u can always go by Complex's opinion on albums.

graduation>late registration and college dropout imo

and paper trail is in competition wit graduation, but i might give the edge to graduation

tip being one of my fav rappers, i must admit i to am hesitant to put that "ever" tag on him but for right now, he one of the top doing it, and niggas said he not messin with 3000 or Luda, that maybe true, but if u ask me, all 3 of em on the top echelon so that dont even matter

oh yea, and on the low, tip will produce a track here or there

has a discography thats hard to mess with (only one for sho booty album imo) and can hold his own with anyone on the track, like i said earlier, a jack of all trades imo, pretty good at everything having to do with rap

Oh, so people will be checking for Trap Muzik in 20 yrs?

It's going to go down as an album of a generation?

I don't think so...

He has a solid discography but again nothing I would consider classic...

Trap Muzik already damn near 10 years old. That's something niggas overlook.

Album was the blueprint for niggas like Jeezy, Gucci, Waka etc.

Do you think people other than fans of T.I. are going to be checking for this album in 10 more yrs?

Is it essential to own it in every hip-hop heads collection?

Would Jeezy, Gucci and Waka not all be the same rappers they are today?

The OP claimed that T.I. one of the best EVER...

Using the second definition there's only bout 5 classic albums in hip-hop history.

As far as if Trap Muzik will hold up another 10 years...is to diminish the fact that's already stood up 10. Not alot of albums are still good after so much time has passed.

I'm sure nobody thought Straight Outta Compton would still hold up all these years later. We have to stick around and see.

Now we're getting somewhere...

And to call T.I. one of the best is to diminish the better rappers who came before him...

Again he is a solid rapper with a solid discography...

But nowhere near "one of the best"

Again I don't see anyone disputing my claim that his 2 best albums are not even the 2 of the best albums released in their respective years...

Commerical wise t/s has a point.

But as a whole, not so much.

TI is one of my favorites, but after you hear his first two or three albums, he's just repeating the same shit on a different beat from then on forward. Nigga ain't really said nothing new in a while. Dude owes a lot of his current on going success to his ear, or the labels ear, for beats. That don't impress me enough to put him in the realm of "best ever", plus there's a lot more rap for me to discover before I can compare.

If ppl still think the same about after 10 yrs why wouldn't they? Lmao what the hell can change in someone's mind about an album after 10 yrs? Give me an example of one that changed in your opinion after that long.

Just a few off the top of the head...

Big L - Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous

O.C. - Word...life

Now you can probably still get into arguments about these albums especially with New York hip-hop heads, yes at the time they were considered classic but in the long run they just did not hold up and are no longer in the discussion...

And these albums are 18 yrs old and 19 yrs old respectively...

@Icecoldstew

@Cutler 26 INT's LOL!

=remedial

I didn't say that...

I said a lot of hip-hop heads at the time considered both those albums as classic and that is simply not the case 20 yrs later...

Got it?
