shit the way its lookin it might be a while...Not sure how tip ended Texas momentum....now he might have ended Flips momentum....

slim was never gonna be a star anyway....musically he doesn't want to be more than he is now.....same goes for zro

chamillionaire.....honestly I dont know what happen to him.....but I was a fan of his underground shit more than his major label shit

Mike Jones......he repped Texas hard, but I never fucked with his music to begin with

Paul Wall.....was never that talented to me anyway

True Texas with Face and UGK alone rivals ATL in a lot of ways to me, not hating just speaking what I feel is true. They have not had a star in a while. Z-RO has said before though that he wants top 40 hits and stuff like that, so I disagree with him being satisfied.

thats goes for every where ... and if u think about it theres a major reason for it ... to break it down real brief ... pop / uptempo / club music is a very versatile style of music ... it can get played in the clubs, radio, car radios, schools, tv etc ....... but concious music doesnt have as many lanes ... its a very very slim chance that itll get play in the club and its also a very slim chance of getting play on the radio based on its format ... and depending on what the event calls for you might not have many places to perform the music..... the only real vehicle for concious music is mixtapes ... but it doesnt mean concious music cant WIN ... u just gotta be alot more creative and think alot more out of the box when it comes to marketing and promoting that style of music ..... however most concious rappers have major egos when it comes to thier music and tend to shy away from the marketing and promo aspects becaue the feel thier music is so dope that shit like that should just come to them ... instead of them having to "invite" or "create" a lane for thier music to move in ..................................................... sad but true ........ which why most concious rappers lose ......................... cause the pop/club artist focus on that aspect altho its much easier for them cause thier lane is pretty much already built thier downside is thier lane is crowded ................
