Underrated. Other than ad libbing all over the beat and that wack ass "show time" shit he always yells now. He's dope to me, and he a loyal nigga he stayed fucking with DMX even after he fell off a bit.

Whatchu mean loyal tho? If X is a Ruff Ryders artist, and Swizz is the nephew of the dudes who started it, how does it necessarely tell you its about loyalty? X was really Ruff Ryders even before Swizz - and hes their nephew! X was also the one who brought The Lox, which is why i think they had issues around the time X started Bloodline. I think he wanted them to join but they didnt want to and he felt ill cuz he brought them on and they only jumped BACK to Ruff Ryders after it blew.

X brought Eve too. X did alooot for Ruff Ryders too. Thats why Ruff Ryders got a deal with Interscope. Eve was on Interscope. X had a cousin who was fucking with Mel Man, and Mel Man and nem was working with Eve. But after it being stale or whatever or not knowing how to market her X liked her and took her to Ruff Ryders.

Like they said Swizz Ruff Ryders era was cool but other than that mostly meeh. And his production always been pretty simple. Dude is really a DJ and didnt start producing until late. Nobody was fucking with Swizz before DMX started working with him. He was just seen as Dee and Waahs nephew.

Its a shame that Dame Grease didnt get to produce As MUCH for X after his first joint. I think it was cuz he didnt wanna sign to the Ruff Ryders production team but only wanted to be managed by them. Grease did alot of the Mase joints (ex Ruff Ryder), Lox (Money, Power & Respect joints) and so and then X joints. So you see the pattern within the Ruff Ryder crew.

Who wouldve thought that in years Swizz wouldve been the biggest man standing out of all the Ruff Ryders? Clearly its off the strength of being Dee & Waahs nephew.

Yea Ruff Ryder era he had his own sound. A dope sound. Then he went waaaay left field. Compare "On To The Next" to bangers like "Twisted Heat" & "WW3"

Shit was a upgrade to boom bap

Didn't he produce "Holla holla" by Ja Rule? That's a certified classic if he did produce it. Not sure about the rest of his work though.

I would've done a poll but nobody showed me how in the "site help" section. I say underrated

Really, neither.

He's not overrated because he gets his proper hate.

He's not underrated because he's genuinely wack.

I will say he's hit or miss.

Occasionally, he surprises.
