So i have decided to go with the PS3. Mainly because my boys keep hyping me up on it. I've talked with a Gamestop guy and he was telling me that PS3 MW2 has nothing on "the box"version . But ima still roll with the punches.

What is some of the differences i should be prepared for when switching??? Good and Bad

Get at me.

Games are just about identical. As previously said, there are more people on Live, but its not like you have to wait to get into a game.

Differences are in exclusives.

Just use any bluetooth headset.....doesn't have to be a PS branded one

1. Free internet gaming

2. PS3 can charge your controllers - no more batteries

3. Wireless included - WTF @ paying an additional $100

4. Blue ray included - LMMFAO & RIP @ HDDVD

one of my favorite things. how is paying for a charger and batteries better than a free wire that charges quick as hell? watching blurays is a great time to let ur controller charge lol

Will i need a wireless router?

does your computer give off wi fi? if so its easy, search for the signal, find yours, put in the key and boom you're in.

if you want a router, you'll need an ethernet cable and yes a router

Just plug it straight into the back of the PS3 as you did with the xbox if you already have wires.

Yea, I only use the regular controller for navigating or other media. But use the Dualshock for gaming.

You could argue that having batteries is better.

When my battery dies I jus bang it on the charge dock and grab another one. No need for wires.

Its still a minor thing though.

How? I can just plug mine in and charge it while using another controller.......or......continue playing with the same controller while it is charging.

Read the rest of my post lol.

No need for wires.

And im speaking as if you got 1 controller.

I have 3 though.

I know. My response was in the context of having one controller too. You can continue playing while its charging.....as long as the cable is long enough. Alternately, I have found a way to let it charge via laptop now. But I get the point of no wires. PS got charge docks as well.

I got 4 controllers myself. Bought an additional one when I bought the system, then got 2 dualshocks when they dropped.

I usually plug in the controllers, keypad, headset and let them charge while watching a movie or something. Got an old school model with 4 usb ports

I bought an Energizer charging station, it charges 2 at a time. It cost me 40 at first, dunno about now. I picked it up at gamestop. Then while you're charging two, you can wire charge your other to the PS3.

that is it, now it's cheaper lol but whatever...
