As I remember it, Death Row was a $300 million company and when Dre left in 1996 all he got was $30 mil. That left Suge as the sole owner of a company that had 2Pac, Snoop, The Dogg Pound, Lady of Rage and whoever else on their roster.

Suge screwed that up royally.

I find it interesting that Dre has been making all of these moves over the last 20 years and Suge just decided to sue now. When Eminem had the world on lockdown from 2000-03 all the way into the 8 Mile move you'd think Suge would have sued then. Or when 50 Cent and G Unit started blowing up with GRODT you'd think Suge would have tried to sue then.

But for some reason Suge didn't sue when Eminem and 50 blew up. he waited til now, when he's on trial for manslaughter and he's supposedly blind.

Seems kinda fishy to me.

Could've had a billion dollars in the bank if he had steered death row right...no label in the history of rap music has had that much talent at the same time. That was the problem. They had a gangsta image that they had to live up to. Its impossible to live up to a gangsta image without getting shot or going to prison, which is what happened to Suge and Pac.

I think Dre realized how high the stakes were and thats why he bounced.

Snoop is lucky to be alive and free.
