meanwhile ryu still doing the same moves and super

It makes sense though. Someone has to keep that classic shoto style because people like it. Of all three characters that use that style, Ryu is the most obvious choice for keeping the style. They should at least give Ryu his donkey kick though. That would make him somewhat different from his SFIV counterpart. He's pretty much the only character so far that didn't get anything new outside of the V mechanics.

I can tell Ryu is way different from SF4 gameplay wise just from the vids Ive seen so far

Ryu has always been the traditionalist. He is a by the book fighter of his style.

You can see this guy at the end of the Ken gameplay video. Any ideas on who he is?

I supposed but ken have the same moves from past games but they changed the look for it. His super is same as sf4 they just changed the look of it. Ryu super been looking the same since he got a super

To be fair, Ryu is the only one that has two Supers. He's got the Shinku normally and the Denjin when he's got his V-Trigger active and they look visually different.

Damn, now that I see that Ken has a running mechanic, it's obvious that Guy won't be in the game :/

Hopefully they'll add Maki.

Dayum well alright Ken

Yea man his juggle potential, range of different moves is making ryu look real bad right now. At this point he does too much damage. I saw a mp into h shoryuken do almost a quarter damage in one of the streams smfh

Everybody does a lot of damage in this game. Taking half a character's life is nothing.

I don't think he makes Ryu look bad though. He's just flashier, which he always has been. It's still a good matchup.
=318

Go to 5:18 for the Ken vs Ryu match.

Well ryu only character that can parry so in the hand of an expert he's going to embarrass everybody

im sure there going to be some goat moments when this drops.

only thing thats going to be tricky is that his parry doesnt have any frames that pause both people's movements like in 3rd strike so the counter attack potential is brought down slightly. for example combofiend has already said he cant punish jump ins with it.

I wouldn't worry too much about damage amounts, or ryu's parry not being able to punish accurately. This isn't even the final build. Not only that, we all know there will be about 4 versions of this game released in the next couple years. Lol
