No he didn't. lol I swear the internet is like that game they play in school with kids where they give a secret at the beginning a line of students and then find out that it's been completely changed by the time it gets to the end of the line.

All Ono said was that no one said there would be a new character announced this weekend and that people should "challenge their expectations." He did not make a statement one way or another as to whether or not Akuma will be in the game.

On another note, the tournament artwork they have is pretty dope.
