They're removing the CPT DLC in November I believe, so you can go for that if you don't like the DLC characters. You can earn the characters you want with fight money.

Lol the only thing I want in The dlc is the ring of destiny stage I guess the extra colors are nice

The season pass gives colors 1 thru 10 for all characters though
