Great thing about this show was it was eerie had a monster and weirdo kid with powers but there was no gore in it. I mean they could've definitely went the gore route but never did.

I agree. I appreciated that there were no cheap jump scares either. If there were any, they advanced the plot.

Reminds me of recently tryna watch Saw VI (I think) OnDemand a few weeks back. The one before the opening credits with a white dude and a black lady having to hack away a certain amount of flesh from their body before being freed/spared.

I couldn't even sit thru that bullshit.

My tastes these days veer more to the Stranger Things/The Shining category of horror scifi.

one ep left. I really do like these buddy "friends til the end" shows. reminds of a better time. That's probably the one thing I miss the most from childhood or even my early/mid 20s. Everyone so much more cutthroat as you get older.

legit cried when El disappeared and it showed Hopper's little girl dying of cancer. that shit was hard to watch. I watched it alone tho so atleast nobody saw me crying like a little bitch.

Exactly. It was a form of redemption for Hopper. The flashback was to show his empathy and caring for the boy was real. It was extremely well done by the show to make you believe Hopper's emotions. I cried but I loved it.

C/S. btw they need to hurry up n start filming season 2 asap cuz kids grow up fast af. Look at Carl from TWD, between seasons 2 and 4, nigga went from lookin 11 to 19. Plus i seen some recent vid of the fat kid on youtube n he is already looking different.
