No i would not say that, i would say God created time and space which is why he exists outside of time (he is infinite) hence, was never created.
n logically, nothing can be created by nothing/something can not be created by nothing. everything is created by something, unless im missin sumthin?? (LOL)
as for evolving into highly social animals that need each other, nice try but without God our morality is subjective. if an asteroid hit us and half the world was left, and food and resources are drastically cut and limited, we'd be back to square one in societal evolution killing each other for food to survive. and as an atheist, it would now not be morally wrong for u to kill another man and his family to feed your own. the situation changed for the worse, so will an atheist's morals, that is until society learns how to adapt to these changes and learn how to survive without killing, then killing would be wrong again. see what steve meant? no moral barometer. with God, in the face of any situation, ur morals do not change. u stand by them thru hunger, poverty, persecution, temptation, etc.
and by the argument that we realize we need each other to survive we also realize this means the majority must be well-off which means a minority will suffer, cuz there is no way we can all be happy or have money. its like rationalizing slavery, or keeping blacks in the hood so the rich whites can keep all the money with little to no competition. after all, society needs a lower class in order to thrive. therefore by using your argument u would contradict urself by sayin slavery is wrong (or mental slavery which exists to differing extents), because it ensures the majority is taken care of, which is the best we can do. by morals instilled by God, slavery is wrong, and murder is wrong, even if society went into a chaotic state due to low supply of food. u do not murder, u do not steal, point blank period.
