Are you a scientist? Have you ever done extensive experiments, studies or did you just pick up what you read from other scientists and took their word and stance for it hardcore and take it for truth?

So basically you're not... BUTyou take those findings, examine them, cross-reference, pull apart the data and look it through THEIR EYES (the scientists) and take it to heart as to it being truth, the same way a believer takes the word of God to heart as to it being truth.

As I've said repeatedly, I don't express 100% certainty in any scientific findings. All I do is say "Well, this idea has a lot of evidence supporting it and it's logical, so there's a great probability that it's true."

What religious people do is say "I've been told to believe this or there will be consequences."

Atheists generally believe in things that are supported by evidence (of various kinds, not just material evidence) and logic.

Religious people believe in Bronze Age myths which were created by illiterate desert-dwelling nomads from the ass end of the Middle East.
