I never really saw the purpose of umar bringing that up in the first place, even if true. Why claim family you aren't around other than to stir up shit? It's like when ppl get famous then all of a sudden "family" they never met, seen or heard about talkin bout we go way back.

He never needed to do it and he didn't contact the elders of the family to get their blessings. This should be a small footnote to his legacy not his legacy.

I can't speak for him and his real ties to that family. But for me I'm not calling no fucking body and asking for their blessing when it comes to speaking on my family.

Family is family I don't need a blessing to speak on my own shit. Those people crazy as shit for that IMO.

I agree you don't need permission to speak on family...only problem is in this instance the family Umar is speaking on is saying he's not part of that family....

Somebody needs to prove what they claiming so the other side can just shut the fuck up about it.

I found this dude's Facebook page and by looking at his pictures, he actually does look like he could be related to Umar. I see some resemblance. Given his army track record, he sounds like somebody whose in good standing with the government and wants to distance himself away from Umar's black radicalism.
