I agree a 100% with Kenny.

I don't see how anyone can cosign Kenny on this one. If management goes to Dwight and asks him his opinion on whether or not they should keep Van Gundy, it is shady has hell for them to then go and tell Van Gundy that Dwight got him fired. At the end of the day, if the GM makes personnel decisions, then he should stand tall on firing someone.

And I don't believe that what Van Gundy did was Bush League. They are talking about he lost the team. He was told that he's going to be let go. The team isn't his to lose. Who is he supposed to be loyal to in this situation? He was asked a direct question about his status, and he answered it honestly. Maybe he could have deflected it, but honestly, what reason would have to do that. They are letting him go and it's at least partially due to Dwight's input. That's not throwing Dwight under the bus. If Dwight is a big enough man to push for someone to lose their job, he should be big enough for it to be made public. It's some bitch shit to want to put the dagger in someone, but not want anyone to know it was you.

And if Dwight goes to management himself expressing his feelings about Van Gundy, unsolicited?

Most people feel it went down that^ way.

One thing that's strange is that Dwight didnt even have to explicitly say he wanted coach gone. Any outsider could see that Dwight didn't always respect SVG. On top of that, coaches get fired all the time for lack of progress and frequent team performance meltdowns. Stan's time was coming. Instead, Dwight gives the organization a way out of making themselves look like the villain. "Nah, we weren't thinking about firing you, it was really Dwight's pushing."
