Lost Tapes not being on there takes away all creditability.

Yeah, but they are just going on studio albums that he personally released. He didn't officially release The Lost Tapes himself

Jesus Christ.. If they're saying I Am... is your 8th best album (a 4 mic album at minimum) and the list isn't including Lost Tapes..... you know..............you're GOAT.

And yes, SD is dope.

People sleep on SD, but I love that album, but I agree with the last two.

My personal list would be...

1. It Was Written

2. Illmatic

3. Hip Hop is Dead

4. Stillmatic

5. SD

6. God's Son

7. NIGGER

8. I am

9. Nastradamus
SD is very very very close to classic status IMO. Yes there R a couple of moments between da 2 disc he could've tweaked N hindsight but N regards to a double cd from a Icon I feel SD is cohesive, lyrical, & solid as f#k!!

Nastradamus and I Am are consistently considered to be Nas weakest work.... neither get play in my Itunes

Illmatic
It was Written

I Am is criminally rated low on that list

I Am had NY State Of Mind 2, Nas Is Like, Undying Love, Kissing, Small World, Life Is What You Make It, etc

Nastradamus had some jams I liked too. Not worse than HHID or SD IMO

My list is:

1. Illmatic

2. Lost Tapes

3. IWW

4. Stillmatic

5. I Am

6. Nigger

7. God Son

8. Nastradamus

9. Hip Hop Is Dead

10. Street's Disciple

If it wasn't for bootlegging it would have been a classic album with the track list it was suppose to have.

IMo It Was Written is Unquestionably Nas's second best album. That album is crimanly underatted. And anyone who Doesn't have Illmatic #1 is trying way to hard to be different.

I do too, but i got a different opinion of hhid than most, a lot has to do with the timing of the album, just everything that was going on in that time hhid will be bring me back to that even 20 years from now, plus i do believe even after the first listen that he got back to the basics and did what he does best and put together a dope album after a somewhat mediocre effort with sd two years earlier, when i listen to sd it jst sounds to me like it was a retirement album, like he didnt need to do this music shit anymore, between kelis, and the daughter song (i like it im just saying), passing the baton to quan and basically the whole feel of the album in general, it was just lacking something you usually get from nas, but hhid the only thing he could of did better if end the album with the original version of hope which ill post below, and theres usually always one song he could of left off which to me would of been the song with game over that throwaway dre beat, game always got a better song on his album with nas than nas does with game, but overall i think there were better songs on hhid than sd, it started a movement and he just sounded hungrier and he was still on that grown man shit without being boring and putting mediocre music out

^^would of been the epic outro

dr knockboot thats it, the other 2 are very necessary especially big things, but if you had to dilute it even more then yea kissing would be the next track you leave off.
