Spinoff: Would you want your mate to stay after a serious accident left you handicapped?

I'm married and vows were made for better or worse. The only way I would want her to move on is if I was in a comatose state.

I would hope so. I wouldn't want to have to go through something so traumatic by myself or with a stranger.

As far as things like whether she should date other folks because I'm incapacitated...depends on if I can recover or not and what kind of illness has befallen me.

i mean, it would be for my own selfishness of course...but if the depression got real, there might be a point where i push her away

Those vows are for life, but if I was in some type of vegetative state and didn't even realize I was in the world I probably wouldn't be upset if she moved on.

I love her and would hope I wouldn't have to go through a traumatic experience alone though.

well vegetables can't get upset anyways

I guess it depends on the Accident. My nephew recently lost his leg in a car accident. His girl stuck around. As serious as that is, it could have been far worse. He's about to still do most things on his own though.

bruh....im talking vegetable status

If I'm vegetated it wouldn't matter what she do cause I won't be able to complain about shit. Fuck that life.

Hopefully she would just shoot a nigga and end it.

My girlfriend now? I'd want her to kick rocks and go live her life. She don't really owe me anything at this point. My long time committed GF or spouse? I expect her to be right there, wiping my ass and giving me baths. If not, she's flaw.

If she wants to leave, I ain't stopping her. The rest depends on the quality of life I'd regain or maintain.

No.

I want him to live his life fully. Not everyone is able to mentally and physically take care of a love one in a handicap space.
