this is nonsense

these expectations are absurd

I don't even think you believe that lol

I, as a reasonable human, would expect someone who was falsely accused of a crime to be a little bitter about it actually.

expecting them to be 'remorseful' is absolutely ludicrous

Do you think a person can address something they were falsely accused of while still not coming off as somewhat callus towards those who have been victims of what they were accused of? Because from what I've read that, not even the charge itself, is what's thrown most people.

You do realize that all those people talking about his callousness towards them as victims and wanting him empathize with their situation aren't doing any of that in his direction either.

Its like their saying ok you beat your case get it over it and show us some empathy for what we have been through while we show you no empathy for what you have been through.

Or maybe some people are over exaggerating the "black women made this flop" narrative. I posted in the other thread that despite the prevailing belief that black women are the reason the movie didn't perform as well as some wanted black women were 61% of the opening weekend audience and gave it good reviews. So despite the fact that there's a good chance some of those women who saw it may have been a victim themselves they still managed to support the movie. Clearly there's support for him. As much as some are claiming people fell for some okey doke in not supporting the film, many of y'all have fallen once again for a divisive tactic against black men and women and blew up something that the numbers say actually didn't even happen in terms of hurting support for film from women.

My comment has fuck all to do with that.

I'm not sure where he even got that from

IIRC the movie was made for 10 and sold for 17

I still don't understand how it makes sense for the victim to have to apologize to the perpetrator

Right and wrong, making sense doesn't matter. Its all about acknowledging peoples feelings.

@blakfyahking

Lol...Nah nigga. I already said I don't think the nigga is guilty of rape just guilty of bad decision making , this is one reason why I never got the running a train shit because it can lead to shit like this same with D. Rose also currently going through something similar, and how he addressed it from jump could've been better. Pretty much the same shit Parker has said about himself

the sentiment involved with the bolded is the problem tho

I've never a fan of the train/group shit either but I don't sit back and judge consenting adults for doing what they do

and I can understand the whole topic of rape/sexual assault being a sensitive topic for a woman.........but this shit with acting like ol boy still owes somebody something more is ridiculous

it's disturbing that u can found innocent in a court of law but the accusation alone still places a burden on u afterwards...and it's even shocking to see a fellow black male cosign that shit against another black male

The only thing he owed anyone, especially himself, was to be able to speak on it in a way the clearly showed his true thoughts and feelings to the best of his ability. I posted an interview where he admits he didn't do that and could've done better. I can't tell that man "Nah you shouldn't have done better with how you expressed yourself" when he feels he should've. I'm agreeing with what Parker said about himself....
