u might laugh but i think gorilla zoe was a bit ahead of his time

its a good bit of autotune half singing trap songs out now, zoe was actually good at that shit, and he had a few songs leaning toward a pop lane as well

Cell Therapy! Tag my hand with ya computer chip / No mo fishing for ya fish. It's the man with the underhand and the plan written by a company named RAND :RAND Corporation is an American nonprofit global policy think tank originally formed by Douglas Aircraft Company to offer research and analysis to the United States Armed Forces. Caught U coming! POW!!!

The Seven Day Theory is full of songs content and especially production-wise that sounded like nothing at that time (Blasphemy, Hail Mary, Bomb First, Against All Odds, etc)

This song STILL blows me the fuck away and it came out in 2009. The tone, vibe, production, feeling was beyond it's time

T.I. - What you know

That shit did not belong in 2006.

What year?

That's a great question, the lyrics fit right in, but the flow was closer to now, 1 bar and stop type shit. That beat is futuristic as fuck though. If TI dropped that as a single right now, today, it would be the best song on the radio, and it wouldn't sound out of place.

He stole j money&yung la wave arnd that time that's why it sounded "futuristic"

Nobody said "Planet Rock"? SMH.

Cosign.

Planet Rock, The Message and Sucker MCs ushered in a new era of music.

The rap records before that were composed and produced like R&B records. They had live bands providing the music. When these records came out they used drum machines which gave Hip Hop a unique sound that was sonically and different in composition from R&B.
