If you're not really into Tech like that and want a phone that gives you some good options without having to understand much about it, iPhones are a good way to go. I'd get something fairly contemporary though if you're the type to keep your phone for a while. The iPhone 5C is new and it's cheap. The iPhone 5S is there premiere phone of that line as of now.

see I only looked at the iphone because I have apple everything else, and was like fuck it. I aint want the C because it looks hella gay to be honest. I like the specs on the 5s, the 'security' feature is admirable, but it just seems like the regular 5 is just like the S, w/o the new processor, camera, and biometric shit...all of which I dont really need, but will be nice to have since this is my first dive into the newer smartphones. I'll be takin full advantage of whatever interoperability the iphone may have with desktop as well.
