black as in AA? not really. I know tons of Hispanic men with this look sans the brush and du rag..which is sort of the look I think they're going for anyway but carry on.

the other thing I should probably clarify is that i don't hate waves or whatever I'm just indifferent on them they definitely should not be your selling point on getting chicks...9 times out of 10 we don't give a fudge.

thread was inspired by a fb pic someone posted (of his waves) bragging on them being all natural as if he should be crowned for it.

whenever i get my hair cut it instantly becomes wavy...then about a week later it becomes curly as fuck again and yeah i think you're right @ the bold because for most of my life I've been asked by other dudes "how do you train your hair to do that" and most don't believe me and will swear up and down I'm lying... when I say "I just wake up and brush my damn hair to get it wavy or curly"...i never understood WHY niggas walk around brushing their hair all the damn time, it's not just teenagers grown men are out here walking around w/ brushes in their pockets still too

Same thing my hair does. That's why I couldn't keep braids long. After a week my shit curl right back up.

it was something I never even noticed really until I got to high school and niggas started asking me about it because that's time frame when most dudes are vain as hell and just care about how they look to impress some random girl lol...i actually would prefer to wear my hair curly just because there were so many niggas walking around brushing their hair all damn day looking like idiots...
