If I wash my hair and leave it alone, its to my shoulders. If I stretch it by pulling on it its down my back. These pics arent me but example:

Why this happens is due to the way our hair is structured. The amount of shrinkage varies from person to person, so yes it is possible for you to have 3 inches of hair and have it shrink 2 inches down to a tiny afro.

LOL the hair isnt shrinking luv it simply curls tighter as it loses moisture. it not like how plastic goes thru a chemical change in heat and actually shrinks to a different size

black as in AA? not really. I know tons of Hispanic men with this look sans the brush and du rag..which is sort of the look I think they're going for anyway but carry on.

the other thing I should probably clarify is that i don't hate waves or whatever I'm just indifferent on them they definitely should not be your selling point on getting chicks...9 times out of 10 we don't give a fudge.

but 2 things luv

1. if you perm your hair, there is a chemical compound on your hair keeping it straight

2. if you use a hot comb to straighten your hair, you are literally using heat to change the molecular structure of you hair

this doesnt change the length of your hair

if i take five $20 bills and fold them in half that doesnt make it 50 dollars ma ...
