Bruh you too predictable. I knew you was gon bring up my age like you seen my birth certificate or some shit. Your hip hop knowledge is suspect. You don't even listen to 5 rappers from the south.

Like you said you weren't in NY so you can't speak on the topic.

Focus on D Wade makin Chicago look bad out there.

I don't have to see your birth certificate you said u were a 19-21 year old college student which means u were a lil boy when this shit went on go sit your revisionist ass down somewhere

And I also made a thread about scarface songs off his 1st album,a song about trick daddy's classic 'bacc in the day'.Da fucc wade gotta do wit me or this conversation?

I was born in 1990 joe.. Go head and erase all your memories of Jordan from the early 90's then since you were the same age. The fact remains that I was around when all that shit was happening. I don't care what your neighbor was bumpin in your apartment complex.. That's irrelevant to what was happening in New York.

Nah lets comment on CURRENT NY hip hop.Every thread be about the 90's

We cant

Chief Keef>>>>>>Present new york.Lmao u wacc ass niggas got french montana tho

French > Queef

we can talk current NY but don't nobody be paying attention

V6 - Banks.

1999 - Joey.

1999 Rejex - Joey.

LIG - Nas.

Mic Tyson - Sean Price.

Wu-Block - Ghostface/Sheek.

Lords Never Worry - A$AP Mob.

etc.

NY had a pretty good year this year..

It would be ignorant to argue against Biggie as far as K.O.N.Y goes.

Nas might have better lyrics (im on the fence on that subject) but overall i go with Biggie.

Ready to Die and Illmatic was awesome albums in their own right.

But from a chart perspective, Illmatic did better

Ready to Die was #15 on the BB 200, but didnt Illmatic reach higher than that? (needs to be clarified)

also

Blue Chips-Action Bronson

Party Supplies-Action Bronson

Cocaine Riot 2-Chinx Drugz

Coke Boys 3-Coke Boyz

Z.O.M.B.I.E.S.-Flatbush Zombies

Mac and Cheese 3- French Montana

Reloaded-Roc Marciano

Strictly For My P.A.P.I.Z.-Bodega Bamz

Emilio Rojas dropped something too

there's other bubbling around too, but the fact is there is a new scene coming together with new sounds. Just like when the West Coast was nonexistent, and now they have so many artists in the mainstream and underground (TDE, Odd Future, Pac Div, Dom Kennedy, Nippsey Hussle, Tyga, etc)

co-sign the west and the bolded.

I agree with premise of this thread, as it was battle between Biggie & Nas only. Raekwon and others sure had their classic, but no one was as influential as guys above. Since Biggie has more commercial success and became a household name, he deserves the title.
