there is a video on youtube with proof's mother telling stories about how Em and Proof first met back in the 80's. Em was dirt poor at the time they became friends and Proof noticed how Em had holes in his shoes, so Proof invited Em to his house and gave him a pair of his shoes. So Proof's mom was like "what happened to your shoes" and Proof said that he was giving his gear to his new friend that he met (Em) who was going through a bad situation. Proof introduced Em to his mom and he became like family to them. Em used to say that Proof's mom was like his mom and she considered him like a son. He even lived there at one point. She said that they were best friends. And Em basically had a melt down after Proof died. He became depressed and drove deeper into addiction and almost died himself. Just check the clip on 106 & Park with him and 50 (2006) and tell me Em was in good spirits. He seemed to take Proof's death pretty hard for someone who's racist against black people. He still isn't the same.

Honestly I dont think Em is a racist, he just made a mistake. The tape was made when he was 16. He was 16 in 1989 (22 yrs ago)
