I just think his album Views just did not live up to the hype.I like some of his music and some of it i don't.I personally feel he still needs an Undisputed classic where the music is timeless and can be listen to from years from now.He hasn't done it yet and to be completely honest out of his peers (big sean,Wale, J Cole ,kendrick) only one of them have an Undisputed classic and that Kendrick's GKMC.

I was a fan of Drake when he first came out and continued to be for a long time. He's versatile I'll give the dude that. Which makes me feel disappointed with how he's been the last few years. Dude sort of hit a peak at Take Care that he's never surpassed quality wise. Yea he can make a hit and I'm cool with that, dude just seemed to have the potential to do more. To me he still capable when he wants to. It all just feels the same in a lot of people's eyes. Either way he's left an impact on the game.

Was folks saying Cole would flop bcuz they thought he/his music was wack or they thought he would flop bcuz they thought his type of music wouldn't appeal to the masses?

Because back in 2010/11 I was definitely part of the latter. Been a Cole fan since The Warm Up but, If you had told me back then that he would have 3 platinum plaques from his first 3 albums I would have told you to stay off the pipe.

Same, I didn't like his music at all until 2013 NWTS. I liked that album, I still don't like his earlier stuff tho.
