regardless of malcolm's sex life (right or wrong), marable's motives on speaking on malcolm's sexuality were questionable if you catch my drift. however, as melissa harris-perry was pointing out, this book was supposed to be a catalyst to pressure the government into re-opening the case of malcolm's murder. marable is dropping too much info in this book for people to overlook it in order to discredit yet another one of our leaders on the basis of sexuality. what's ironic is that we have a black president and--possibly more important--a black attorney general, the one who would be responsible for making it happen. even so, i have little faith that the case will be re-opened and the proper people put away. at any rate, marable's book is yet another confirmation of how this nation's government has systematically dismantled black leadership for the purposes of maintaining white supremacy, capitalism and oppression.
