I ain't trying to be funny and forgive me for my ignorance, but why would you need to rescue a fish in a flood?

They are ice cold. My coworker's son was killed last year on July 4th. She posted a pic of him on her Facebook. This mofos found her page and was in the comments like "Hey! Stacey here from NBC Chicago Channel 6. Can I have your number and give you a call for a statement?" So naturally, her family starts going off calling the reporter a dumb bitch. She comes back and responds "I have gotten a personal inbox message. She is actually very happy to talk to us about her son." She was gloating.
They fearless as hell though. They'll run up on a gunman to try to get a statement during a shooting.

Who would leave their dog like that?
Post hurricane Katrina, churches and other organizations learned to not just open their doors until they are designated as shelters. Once designated, they get resources to SUCCESSFULLY HELP PEOPLE. Resources like food, water, and security are vital for basic operations, but volunteers are needed to work the kitchens, bathrooms, and infirmiries. These elements are vital to ensure that the shelter does not become a dangerous place. When it opens before those arrive, it can do more harm than good. Just read up on what happened 2 days after hurricane Katrina when they opened up the Superdome before they had State and Federal resources. There were cases of rape, murder, suicide, theft, robbery, and destruction of property to name a few. Even though Katrina left New Orleans with no options, valuable lessons in disaster relief were learned.
While I do not speak for the church leaders in question, I do feel the need to put another side of the picture out there, because the Internet, Misinformation, and the Mob Mentality are too dangerous to go unchecked right now.
