Went out to check some of our homes today..first time going into some of the worst hit areas. Shit was soooo depressing.

Street after street of people's lives on the curb.

My condolences... hope you and your fam are doing alright despite this tragedy...

Those pictures were taken on Thursday. I don't know how or when they're planning on coming to collect all the debris and piles of flooded belongings, but I hope it's soon. On some streets it was hard to maneuver a truck through all the piles. The air stinks of mold, garbage and death. I'm certain there are some dead creatures in some of those piles.

It's not the whole city, but there are many specific areas around town that were completely devastated. Entire neighborhoods.

Can't even imagine. I almost felt like I was experiencing survivors guilt. We basically got a 4 day weekend. Didn't even lose power. The affected folks have a long road ahead.

In Houston now .... going to do a little volunteer work in the morning. So far I haven't seen much damage but the hotel is in the museum district.
