Even beyond that, look at the show "So You Think You Can Dance?" and notice how they don't require the contestants to perform urban dances like Crump or Breaking. They do ballet, jazz, or other established dance styles. Black art forms need to be validated in this country by whites; and that validation is usually at the cost of ownership.
