I'm gon be straight up.

I fucking hated officers. Any chance i took to punk one i jumped at it.

They constantly over step their bounds and try to punk NCO's in front of their soldiers. Not realizing the effect it has on a NCO's soldiers and that NCO's ability to lead.

Officers think they are superior because they do the logistics, while we do the ground pounding.

Officers constantly send enlisted out on fucked up missions while they sit in the lap of luxury.

Most do not even deserve their awards or combat patches.

Fuck an officer.

Only met a handful that i liked

This.....

go officer or dont go at all

Airforce got fine hoes, they only be checking for other branches soldiers however. and yall constantly stay near other branches

use the airforce to reach your goals, they are going to use you. start building your retirement, pay for school or finish school.

paycheck will be steady

I had no problems. Especially in tech school. But yeah AF generally doesn't pick up the most fit dudes of the branches

Explain the end part @"caddo man"

So when you are enlisted and want to go officer (get commissioned) you have to do what they call a package. It consist of recommendations, your transcripts, and other things from your military time. they have a board and you are either picked or told to try again. the best package depending in the slots are picked.

With you being young there are many programs you can apply for to become an officer. But like all things networking gets you farther. Get the right people to sign off on you and you will be picked the first time.

Fuck what any nigga say. Military is GOAT. Niggas pay for my schooling, all of my insurance, and honestly it options up alot of job opportunities.

Don't automatically become an officer. Go through the enlisted struggle. You might like being an NCO more.

Military people tell me about it I researched a lot about BMT. But what else should I look forward too ?

Be an officer like everyone said to be and use it to your benefit and developed unique skills sets that would market you better for yourself , whatever future endeavors, and your community.

Tell him about those duties stations though. Navy has the GOAT duty stations.

The duty stations are nice in the Air Force just pray you do not get assigned to some of those shitty locations. Anything overseas is nice. A career overseas is the best thing to do.

So how does deployment work ? @Ajackson17 will I stay on a base for 4-6 years ?

Depends on the needs of the air force and most likely you will deploy but it depends on where you are going. If its Kuwait then its a field trip there is also south american deployments

Ive always heard its best to do school first then go into the military. Starts you out at a higher rank, and opens you up to a lot more jobs without having to re enlist for 25 years and work your way up. I got a buddy that did that and hes in the airforce in germany right now doing "Intelligence" as he calls it. He still stupid to me though.

Smh man I really don't wanna do this shit, however it seems like everything I'm doing is currently not working. If I have about two years left to finish my in Business MIS, but I can't afford school (my GPA is like 3.7) and dumb ass GA rules won't allow me to get any good scholarships.

I'm literally forced into making this decision into the National guard or air force soon. I really don't wanna do this shit, but no body is hiring and this marketing firm position is seeming like it's not consistent or reliable.

If y'all had to choose whats better for someone who don't really wanna be about the whole military life? National GUARD or air force? I'm strictly in it for job security, benefits, travelling, and most importantly help paying for my student debt.

Softest branch out of all of the military. lol More civilian like.

1. Try to go officer if you can (less of the enlisted bullshit).

2. Get a MOS that's translatable to the civilian world.

3. Civilian contractor capability MOS. You can make six figure salary with a needed MOS in the civilian contractor world working for companies like Honeywell, Halliburton, etc working in the middle east.

4. If you can get a security clearance do it

5. Take advantage of all the free shit (education is free, dental, medical, etc).
