I don't understand hip-hop anymore. I'm not sad that Cube didn't sell, hell I'm not a Cube fan to tell you the truth. However, I don't know why people say niggas is too old to still do music. In other genres the old people are legends and they still sell records because the fans support them. It seems like once a nigga hits 34 1/2 in Hip-Hop people turn their back on em. Granted these niggas probably don't change their subject matter, but I want to know, where is the support for our music? We sit back and gripe but we don't do shit about it. Willie Nelson is like 90 and still smoking and doing music. Paul McCartney is like 75 and selling like a mu'fucka in Starbucks. I could go on and on naming country, alternative, heavy metal, tejano (it's niggas in the H that's been in the Tejano game for 50 years and still getting latin grammys, I forget the name of em but you get where I'm going) that's still making music that's selling. Why can't hip-hop be the same? Is it true that we truly don't support our own?
