on MK9 u can play 3 modes online

u can play 1v1
2v2
or King of the hill

king of the hill is a mode in which all players enter one game room
2 players face off while the others spectate
who ever wins gets crowned king, and gets to keep playing.
the loser moves to the back of the line and has to wait in line to face the king again.
