I'll add to this because I've stopped masturbating as well because I realized this stuff just isn't me and there's no benefit from it. My advice is as follows (it's a long post FYI):
1. Pray about it. We're all humans, it's easy to succumb to our desires even if they hurt us in the long run.
2. Make a commitment to absolutely cut Porn & Masturbation (P&M) out of your life. You have to look at them like
drugs. No crack addict that's trying to recover will say "let me smoke crack only once a week or so". Especially at your frequency of fapping. It's not just cutting it out, but also changing your habit and lifestyle.
3. Find out when you fap the most. For me, it was when I woke up, when I was bored when I took my laptop to the bathroom, and when I was about to go to sleep. I was averaging about 3 times a day.
4. The first couple weeks will be hard, but you have to make a conscious effort. You'll be tempted to look at porn or suggestive images. You can't succumb to it. For me, I try not to use my laptop in my room with the door shut. If the door is shut then my window is open. At night, if I stay up doing work, then I'll do it in the living room and only come to my room to sleep.
5. Again, you have to change your habits. I'd been masturbating since 12 or 13. I'm just getting off it at 21. You have to understand that our bodies, after being so used to a routine of getting pleasure from fapping, will try hard to remain on "autopilot" and will not want to break the fapping habit. Example: When I was in middle school my sisters were still in elementary school. I would get back home from school before them and used my 45 min window to fap. Did this over the year and the habit was almost second nature. Now imagine have a routine for it for over 9 years. Gets hard to break.
6. Replace old habits with new ones. Once you feel yourself with that 'itch' to stroke or look at porn, just close the laptop and do some push-ups. Or better yet, take a 5 min walk. Some people say get a girlfriend or have a wife, but it's not gonna work. When you become so used to getting yourself off when YOU decide, even if you have a spouse they will simply not be able to keep up. There are married men coming forth saying even with their wives, they still sneak off to rub one off.
7. Get active or get a hobby. Read, run or write. When you start realizing how much time is wasted with P&M, you really will understand how much crap it is. You have men 30yrs+ chained by P&M and they don't know it. They schedule their lives around finding a time to fap and will vehemently defend how beneficial it is. Say you spend 20mins each session (finding the "right scene", getting enticed and doing the deed), now say you fap 3 times a day (wake up, back from work, before you sleep). That's 1 hr a day that could have been put to something else, learning a language, reading, watching a show, WORKING OUT, volunteering, community/church service, whatever.
8. Last thing, you really just have to go one day at a time. Like all addictions, urges will flare up from time to time. There's a challenge of going 90 days without it, but honestly, I'm looking at the rest of my life without it. It may seem impossible, but you have to keep the faith and just keep plowing ahead.
Feel free to message me if you need some other strategies. People are now just waking up to this disease. The scientific community will say it's not that bad but understand that it takes years, decades even to notice trends to the average human. I mean some years ago we used to paint our houses with lead and said there was no link between cigs and lung cancer. High-speed porn just became available about 10yrs ago, it will take some time before we really seeing the ramifications of it. These younger middle and high school kids may not know what hits em.

Benefits of not fapping:
For someone who had been doing it for such a long time and has now started cutting it off, these are the benefits I've noticed:
1. Energetic & Focused. I feel so much more alert when I wake up in the morning. I can get 5 hours and be up and productive. When I'd fap before bed I would wake up feeling absolutely sluggish. Now I wake up at 6 and tackle the day
2. Confident. Goes hand in hand with having more energy, but also not having that 'post masturbation guilt" following you throughout the day anymore.
3. More social. Again increased energy, confidence and just general 'swagger' has enabled me to be more social. Idk what it is but I've noticed a lot of changes, especially with women.
4. Productive. Those 1-2 hours I spent P&M has been converted into better ventures. I write now, I read more, workout and study French as well. As we get older, we have to realize time isn't to waste.
5. Confident. Can't really stress this enough man.
Again my man, keep praying on it and working on it. Keep faith and know there will be light at the end of the tunnel. One day at a time.

My goal right now has changed, my new goal is to cut down with it, too much of anything is never a good thing, it would be good to try going a week but this shit really is addictive and very enjoyable, but I do wonder if life would change if I didn't do it.

masterbation alone is fine.. the use of porn however is what make it unhealthy. Men body regularly generate fresh semen for these women and sometimes it get backed up so it has to go somewhere to keep the new batches coming in.
