They appear to be turning down a deal that may possibility help their career before sitting down at a table with Jay-Z and actually discussing it to see if they will have to change their style. That should at least have a sit down first before making a rash decision like their making now.

SMH@ that move being bad for Roc Nation. Why would they be trying to sign them in the first place? Plus the label is more heavily geared towards concert promoting and shows. Dead Prez already got a loyal fan base so best believe they would be getting more off of shows than they do now. SO why exactly is this bad for the RN brand again? lol

You obviously haven't listened to Dead Prez in depth, which is why you were comparing them to a vastly different J.Cole. Judahxulu is right a unfiltered Dead Prez wouldn't be good for the brand which is why Jay was probably hoping that he could tone their message down a bit to market them better.

there no saying what kind of turn dead prez careers would take if they signed with roc nation...they have a loyal following and you never know there fans could turn on them and call them sell outs..you know what i mean..IMO they took made a safe decision, they dont risk anything and im pretty sure there not hurting financially....people underestimate how much these indie artist make word to tech 9 and e40
