Dunno if Ether is the best diss track of all time.... but it definitely surpasses "takeover".

I mean don't get me wrong, takeover killed it.......so much in fact ppl were even saying Nas don't even need to respond (kinda like when your boy gets called out, but you know if he goes at dude he's gonna get fucked up, so you act like it minor). But Nas knew what time it was, he came at dude line for line and not only dissed Jay, but answered the majority of shit thrown at him through his own rebuttals. From what I remember:
1. it was the comparison of Jay's voice in the Hot 97 interview compared to previous interviews. He definitely wasn't didn't have the cocky bravado he normally displays in his demenaour.
2. at some point through his as you put it "stumbling"....Angie says something along the lines of "let's take a minute". As if to say let's take a breather Jay, gather your composure like he was about to burst into tears. Plus I think she cackled a bit, implying wow I know this dude ain't going real hoemotional on me right now.
3. People over-exaggerate the whole thing just for emphasis
