So certain females are mad @ Jesse Williams for divorcing his wife & then supposedly upgrading to...

Exactly. Never mind what the new chick looks like or if she's perceived as an upgrade or whatever. This dude seems like he has no principles...and that lack of principle voids every word in his little BET speech

This shit makes no sense. So you honestly believe that he can no longer understand the racial injustices in the country and want to take a stance against those injustices just because he's dating a white chick?

I get it. If you're some kind of super militant/hotep ass problack person, it would seem odd for you to date outside the race. However, not everybody that is for the uplift of the black community falls into that category. Jesse didn't say anything in his BET speech that he needed to obsessively problack to mean. Hell, he didn't say anything that you have to be black to mean or understand. There are white people that think they same way. So are those white people not sincere when they go out and march at BLM or other rallies just because they are white? I'm confused.

The visual of a person speaking against racism while theyre holding hands with the people that are of the elk of the ones that hate them will always look silly to me (especially in jim crow south). Add Frederick Douglass to that.

Dude isn't even divorced yet. The fact of the matter is after the speech he dropped on BET talking about doing better for black women, being publicly seen with a white woman (or any woman) before the divorce from the mother of his children is final is tacky. It's disrespectful, and he shouldn't be at all surprised by the backlash.

Most black men

Just need a lil raid and he'll be gone from promoting faux pro-black discussion.

Nobody knows the details of his marriage or divorce.

i've never been one to champion that shit when women do so i'm not a hypocrite when i feel the same way towards men that jump on the white bandwagon. i don't know, white people are just wack and corny to me. yes his wife was not the best looking, but there are plenty, PLENTY of way more attractive black women than minka kelly in hollywood

also, when your whole shtick is how pro-black and pro-black family you are, no matter the circumstances it's a bad look to leave your black wife for a white girl. like no one would be batting an eye if this was bryant gumbel or some shit

lets not forget how white women age either. oh well, either way no skin off my back. all i know is you couldn't pay me to fuck with a pale demon

i can still appreciate their achievements while still being of the opinion that it would be better for our community if we focused on the black family and building black love. the two are not mutually exclusive. saying that i think highly of some of their contributions does not mean i can't be critical of other actions they took. mfs on the ic never surprise me, it's like y'all can't comprehend the idea of having more than one opinion or nuanced opinions at the same time. it's quite possible, and if you can't see how that speaks to your level of intellect

Minka Kelly is a major slut. She'll leave him for another brother in no time.

how do you know this? if so where are the nudes?

I have worked around the artistic community out here in NYC she got a rep for being loose. She single though so it is what it is. Let karma do what it do if it has to.

She probably does have leaked nudes out there. Actresses are straight ho's generally.

I think your stance is fine and reasonable. The problem is more with those who would try to discredit the work that some have done just because they don't like who that person is dating.

For example, several people in here are basically calling Jesse's speech bullshit just because he's dating the white chick as if he can't date her and be against black injustice too.

Maybe those Unions partly made them the great men and women that you admire, and also some great/most influential civil rights and cultural heroes have come out of interracial relationships.

This kinda reminds (obviously on a smaller scale) of this girl I went to college with and I'm friends on social media with thats pro-Black everything.

She's very strong in her opinions and beliefs as well, but shes married to some balding White guy that is probably my age but looks middle aged. Ish seems like an oxymoron to me.

You pro-Black on all this ish but you don't want to share yourself in the most intimate way conceivably possibly with a Black person.

You'll never see a pro-White man or woman married to a Black person though.

Your second point was good, but that first point was... White pussy might be capable of a lot of things, but turning a regular everyday black man into a civil rights legend ain't one them.

Your relationships also help partly mould your views of the world.

That because, with the social dynamics we have here, pro-whites are about keeping others out and staying 'pure', while many pro-blacks, whether they admit it or not, are about being let in, included.
