Look, I understand those of you saying you didn't know about not needing a passport to go to PR... but all we were saying is that people SHOULD know this since its apart of their country even tho many realistically DON'T. But just realize ignorance is ignorance.

Yes it's VERY clear people are very ignorant especially in our country when it comes to knowledge of other places in the world. Americans have a very ethnocentric attitude thinking they're better than other countries and people, and that they don't need to know shit about other places or other cultures. When in reality most developed countries in the world teach their children other languages and better history, geography and culture information, which should be common knowledge.

You may not think Puerto Rico affects you or that other places in this world do... but just because something does not affect you DIRECTLY does not mean it does not affect you period. That is the main point I wish people could see. Stop believing what the jaded ass government and educational system wants you to believe in that America is THE BEST, that all you need to know is Christopher Columbus discovered America. FOH.

Knowledge is power. People should embrace ANY knowledge of the world they live in, but instead they have attitudes like "I'm AMERICAN so that is IRRELEVENT to me" which is just sad.
