This nigga the wackest hustler ever swear to god. Grew up around dudes who were his age and younger. Same era. Never did they move unstrapped or without shooters. Especially ij the beginning. Fuck you in the game for Franklin?

because he aint get into this life with the intention of being a fuck nigga dealer.. he got curious, was lookin for a way out.. and now hes here.. learning hard lessons and going through the dleague. He has morality and is gaining experience points..

See i can fuck with this show,, I knew it would be great because of FX i can spot queso and bullshit a mile a way this is well done.. *Coughs* Tales

I like the show. Just can be aggravating to watch. In real life he would've been popped by the end of the pilot.

The CIA angle more interesting to me. Mostly cause we always demonize their contributions but forget that some of the dudes involved in shit like Iran-Contra Affair really did do it cause of naive patriotism.

Suge and Ray J tried to tell y'all....booty goons make shit happen

Ol boy un-assed that money didn't he?

The smile on his face afterwards, the look of shock in the victim's eye, the muthafucking grunts and bed creaks. Shit was super unerving. Good call by Singleton. A lot of ex-cons do get down by prison rules when back on the outside. They be like Toothpick in Don't Be A Menace...just less exaggerated. If Franklin don't handle it and cross the point of no return though...

Music in this shit is exceptionally curated. I am so gonna chop the shit out of Strike by Union during my next Ableton sessiob.

I was rootin for Franklin, but this nigga pissin me off though..I really thought he was gonna lose it when dude spit blood in his face..but NOPE!!

"Real life" doenst fall into a preconceived script

I got a lil upset with Franklin but realized that he jumped off the porch with no guidance straight to the big boy league. Franklin is learning the game as he goes along and comes up against certain challenges. Seems to me each episode he is learning how he is supposed to conduct himself and how to react to certain things.

So far to me it seems that as time goes on he is going to be willing to take things as far as they can go because he's going to have to because thats just part of game he has chosen to be in.

That rape shit was wild but very realistic especially for that era.

Last night's episode was good. Teddy's story is getting more interesting.

Franklin's boy Leon came through for him.

The Israeli loves the chocolate ladies.

Here's the preview for next week's episode:

Its apparent after the last few episodes Franklin doesn’t have the ruthless (yet) to get in the drug business. Question is what happens to change his mind? Does his mom lose her job? Does he get harassed by cops?

And loved Avi’s line about Ice Cream Cake Boy and him trying to get in with that young tenderoni (low key most entertaining part of the show week to week)

Don't read if you don't want to know the answer:

Franklin has an encounter with his pops. Whatever happens there don't turn out well, which makes him return to the game.

1 3rd of the episode with the most boring character from the most boring subplot talking to himself. 5 episodes in on the show about the birth of crack. Still no crack.

The crack beginnings won't start until episode 7. I feel ya. I'm waiting for that as well.

Well last night's episode was good. Franklin's pops is a piece of work.

When his mom asked him if he was good and he said yeah...i think that was his way of being done wit his father permanently. Letting go whateva feelings he had for him, and moving on w/o regret.

Smh at his father tho.

Pops didn't try to intervene when the cops hit his son. He's a piece of shit.

Ah man. Just found this article after I tweeted The Real Rick Ross about the show and if he had a cameo:
http://www.eurweb.com/2017/08/freeway-rick-ross-say-singletons-snowfall-life-without-permission/#

Freeway Rick Ross appears to have someone other than the Rapper Rick Ross taking leniency with his life story, and involvement in the Iran Contra.

In the new FX series “Snowfall” about a black kid involved with cocaine, the government, and Nicaraguans (an odd similarity to Ross life) John Singleton tells a story about the rise of crack in LA. The reviews haven’t been great The Hollywood Reporter stated:

The other parts of Snowfall may come together in time, but after four meandering and sometimes confusing hours, it’s easy to lose interest. And if this series is not addictive after four hours, with all the competition it faces, will it ever be?

But is it at least authentic? Freeway Rick stated this to Hip Hop DX

I didn’t watch [Snowfall]. I’m boycotting it,” Ross told Trent and Jake. “John [Singleton] he bought my book. He knows me very well and that he would do a [sic] movie about crack in the 80s and not come consult with me. Me and him had lunch together before he talked about the story. That he would go out and do a [project] of this nature. It was kind of like a slap in the face,” he added.

Ross, who is currently a parolee, said that despite his relationship with the famed director, he found out about the show the same way as the rest of us did.

“He didn’t [mention anything about Snowfall when we met] I read about it in the newspaper. Matter fact when I met with The Weinsteins’ Company, one of the things that they were concerned about was him doing Snowfall because it’s so closely related but lucky for me everyone knows it’s not the real story. It’s far from the real story and I’ve been getting good feedback from a lot of people saying that the story was far-fetched and almost unbelievable it’s so fake.” Noted Ross, who did note that Singleton’s people reached out to him after the first season was in the can.

John has been making some snake moves. First the rape scene in The original "ALL Eyez On Me" script, and now this. SMH.
