Snoop is the Micheal Jackson of hip hop. No one has achieved his level of success, respect, and popularity across the globe. And he's still active as fuck. You gotta respect it. I call dude, The Atomic One. Dig the Parliament reference.

He hasn't topped Doggystyle, though. A cop a few songs from his mixtapes and albums over the years, but that's it. Still I hope he keeps doing what he's doing.

And I just try to overlook the weird shit he does from time to time. "Tom" and painting his finger nails.... man has his quirks. I leave it at that.

Not sure about that

I just don't feel he really came as hard as he did on Doggystyle and The Chronic, last decade he's been phoning that shit in.

TBH Snoop was lyrical in his first few years...

It wasn't until he generated the 'pimp' image and because more of a character than a rapper that he became more of a hip hop figure than a rapper...

Hes done well to keep reinventing himself over the years and hes still stayed relevant 25 years in the game which is remarkable...

I done hate on Snoop for becoming abit of a joke and mainstream, because he should of made 10's of millions on Death Row, but it seems he (like most people on the Row) made next to nothing, so him more then anyone deserved to get paid by going pop...

He's "mad underrated" anywhere the age demographic is late teens to early 20s because they're only super familiar with Parody Pimp/Hip Hop Ambassador Snoop. It's same way people won't put LL on a list or Kane: pick-and-pull production, ageism, and East/West Coast fans do a horrible job supporting their OG's. It's a lot easier to put together strong albums with one or two producers and a unifying concept than 5 to 10 producers with nothing but single whoring in mind, and his later career is defined by either trend hopping (Rhythm and Gangsta) or experimentation (that reincarnation of Bob Marley shit... because reincarnation requires a person be dead BEFORE you're born for you to be their reincarnation, so that immediately makes it seem dumb and reachy). Also, personal preference comes into play. What I usually find is people look at his catalog, judge it too much to Spotify or YouTube, so they throw him under the bus based off his singles when some of his stronger songs never even got videos.

Snoop >>>>> LL & kane

Hard to call a legendary artiste underrated overlooked is more accurate. He has three wack albums out of 11 solo releases not to mention group projects side projects and countless mixtapes.

Snoop never fell off, his debut just casts a shadow over the rest of his career.
