I didnt even think of it being anything gay until i Googled "Benicio Sicario interrogation room" and all kinds of results popped up about it alluding to sodomy.

One person even had a YouTube link where the cast is taking questions & they ask Benicio anout his character always invading others personal space and he made a joke about the director telling him to penetrate the other actors.

Then they had the scene where he sits on dudes lap in the car. If they didnt have the details of his back story i woulda guessed his character was a homo-hitman.

Like pretty much everything else in the movie they make it seem like theyre doing one thing when they're on a next thing. They prep him for the waterboarding on camera but dude cuts the camera off when leaving the room, jug stays on the floor the entire time next to the drain with no water running down it so you know that shit was for show and benecio was finna fuck dude up. Guillermo got took. Face raped or butt raped nh.
