Depends on the situation & a number of variables for me, but I was in this situaton once before myself & I told her she shouldnt go that route. The dude was 1 of my boys from back in the day. I wouldnt say he was a complete "douchebag" b/c he's overall a cool guy, but when it comes to women...u can get my gist. Tthe girl was someone I've known all of my life. Her older brother & I were real close (He was in the Marines & died serving in Iraq back in August of 08) & his family is like a 2nd family to me.
Anyway me & my mans had seen her aound a couple times while we were out clubbing or whatever but they never hit it off in my presence. Apparently they ran into each other 1 day while I was around & exchanged numbers, talked on the phone for a couple weeks, & went out. When she started catching feelings she came & told me & asked me about dude in depth, so I told her straight up "u might not wanna go there w/ him". She took heed & broke it off. I told him about the discussion we had & he wasnt upset. He knows I ony have a few ppl who I really consider friends & she was 1 of em so he said that if she meant that much to me as a friend then he was glad I told her b/c he knew he wasnt going to do right by her.

But seriously t/s, you were really in a no win situation. You have 2 people who are supposed to be your friend and you are stuck in the middle. Article 3 paragraph 15 of the "Man Code" specifically frowns upon all things cock blockerish, haterish, tattle tellerish and other dispicable ish. Unfortunately, you don't go shitting on a good female friend either. The best you could do is just stay out of it or just tell her you don't feel comfortable hooking up your female friends w/ your male friends cause if shit goes wrong you don't want to feel responsible.
