John Starks was on Highly Questionable and he said that Biggie's song "I've Got a Story To Tell" was NOT about him but WAS in fact true on another Knicks player.....I Googled the Knicks teams of 1996-97 and saw that no one was actually 6'5....but then again BIG could have been talking about any of the 1994-95, 1995-96 Knicks. *shrugs*

Jay-z wanted the Little Brother beat for "Loving It" for the Black Album.

9th asked the group, Phonte said no, so he gave Jay "Threats" instead.

SMH. Guess they really wanted the world to hear Joe Scudda's wack ass.

And before yall niggas say Joe Scudda wasn't wack, when was the last time you

independently went and played a Joe Scudda solo song? Thought so.

This was a bad move for 9th, because the song Jay made from his beat "Threat",

is a forgotten song, mostly because Jay doesn't promote or perform that song often,

due to it being a Nas diss, and the truce that Jay and Nas have not to perform disses on each other.

Had he given Jay "Loving it" it could have been one of those songs that would have continued to spread

9th's fame
.

Ehhhh, not really. There's plenty of songs Jay dont perform.

From 9th's own mouth, the biggest thing ever for his career was actually when jay put him on w/ Beyonce. That catapulted his career to an even higher plane.

Here, work w/ Beyonce>>>>>oh no's! you can thave Lovin It

And any percieved lack of success for 9th (emphasis on 'pecieved', that ngga eats) is due to him wanting to be on some other shyt (songs w/ no name rappers, being a professor, etc.)

This vid was posted here about a year ago, i wanna say there's 4 parts. The full story on him gettign up w/ Jay z. Somewhere in there, probly part 4, he talks the aftermath of Threats making him big, but working w/ Beyonce making him HUGE

#mythbusters lol

You're saying something different than me.

He woulda still got put on with Beyoncé if he gave Jay Loving It or Threats.

I'm saying, Jay using Loving IT woulda been bigger than him using Threats,

because of the type song that would be made from that beat.

That flaw ass Tupac clone Tha Realest, Big Buntry (RIP), Swoop G and the rest of Death Row smashed on Mobb Deep and tried to bum rush Snoop at the 2000 Source Awards.

KLC, of Beats by the Pound, said that when he played Down 4 My Niggas for Snoop all Tha Eastsidaz started C-walkin and tellin Snoop he needed to go at Death Row on that track. Snoop did just that but replaced his verse cause P wasn't with bangin on wax.

Snoop also went at Death Row on a song called Gangsta Ride on NL Top Dogg but later replaced his verse with the one heard on the released version.

Tupac's last song recorded was Let's Get It On (a Mike Tyson entrance song for the Seldon fight) that he recorded the day before he was shot. Assassin was the producer and also produced the songs He'll 4 A Hustler and All Out (recorded in that same session Sept. 6, 1996)

C-Murder discovered Curren$y and signed him to TRU Records in early 2001 (joint deal with his brother Mr. Marcelo's Tuff Guy Ent.) .. When Cee got locked up, Curren$y went over to the New No Limit

Same way Drake and Tupac could .....Money

U sound stupid as fucc.

So these rappers don't pay real street niggas to hang around them? Stupid motherfucker

Tupac didn't pay street cats to hang around him. He embraced that lifestyle and got caught up in it.

Don't put Tupac and Drake in the same category like that.

Some more interesting facts

- Lil Wayne has writers for his albums and that is the reason why they vary in quality from Carter to Carter. Gillie Da Kid & Curren$y are said to have helped co-write the Carter 1, Carter 2 and 3. Carter 4 & 5 is said to have been written by Euro and Drake.

Good shit. Ive been wondering who been writing Wayne shit lately. I become fans of them usually after hearing Wayne spit they verses. Euro impressed me on that "We Alright".

Ok this is a problem. 1/2 that shyt is easily seen as false on face value, but nggas who dont know better are runnim with it

@Sion cmon g you a financial guru and a mod you cant corrupt theae ngas like this b lol stop postin that bullshyt

Question....

How close was Master P to actually signing 2pac to No Limit?

Not that close. Did P know Pac? Yeah, but P was also coming up at that time. This would've been 93-94 when No Limit started to really bubble with Ghetto's Trying To Kill Me!

By the time Pac got out in 95, he needed a platform with enough power and a label with the desire to take some of his enemies to war. No Limit wasn't really at that level at the time and was never into bangin on wax.

Yo first off, this thread is good shit.

I got a few joints for niggas.

1 - Does anybody remember a time (I think it was early 2000s) where Beans called up a Philly radio station? Gillie and his crew was there. It started off with a lot of screaming from both of them, but ended up with Beans being quiet and Gillie doing all the barking. Shit was CRAZY! Here's a link:

2 - How can anybody forget about the Rucker!? Remember Cam and Jimmy was the butt of mad jokes during a time period when the infamous tape of them running from niggas was being passed around? Link here:

3 - Speaking of the Rucker, remember Fat Joe beat Jay's squad in the championship at the Rucker?

4 - Yo, a long time ago when the internet was still on some new shit, there was as dude who worked for BET that put out a video callin' Robert Johnson a homo. He sat in a chair and shot like a 6 part video or some shit. He said he was invited to go to an industry party with Johnson, but started to get the vibe that he was there as Johnson's date. He said this is what the industry is like. There's NO way I can find that video. I felt like this dude prolly got paid off to take down the video or bodied or some shit. Anybody remember this?

5 - Dehaven was pissed at Jay for not holding him down and threatened to put out a book. Not sure if he ever put the book out.

6 - What about the time Lloyd banks apparently lost his second album in a groupie's crib before it was released? It was supposed to be called 'The Big Withdraw'. Anybody remember that one?

7 - Who remember's that time period before or after blueprint one (can't remember) where Jay had that unreleased song called 'Early This Morning'? Fire.

That's all I can remember right now.

Even if he was I wouldn't give a flying fuck, RHQ still a dope ass artist to me. Same goes for Young Thug.

Yo, Sion, you my nigga, but you been going outta your way lately to say you don't care if a nigga is gay and rapping.

Did you find out some questionable shit about an artist whose music you like?

wtf been going on in Canada bruh? What did Drake do now?

That was D. Brad, but he was talking Stephen Hill the BET vice prez, not Robert Johnson the founder.

"Early This Morning" was my shit!!!

I heard a rumor that 2pac had beef with the Lost Boyz back in the day but there was never any info on it. I think LL Cool J even mentioned it in one of his songs too.
