6th grade, in Japan, in bed.

All the military bases were on lockdown, so I couldn't get on base for about a week. No school, nothing.

the night before Monday Night Football was in New York

I was 18

my daily routine before school was watching sportscenter.

Man 8th grade history class, i was 13...

I just remember that the teachers were tripping before we even knew what happened..I never seen adults really scared before that...

I live in DC so of course it was crazy round here, by the time the pentagon was hit everybody was leaving and shit, pulling kids out of school...

My best friend at the time's dad worked at the pentagon i was just trying to get up with his family to see if they were good, and they were. His dad was off work that day...

I was at work doing my regular routine and listening to the radio when one of my co-workers came out of nowhere just changed my station..I was about to cuss his ass out when he told me a plane ran into one of the towers..I thought it was a typical amateur pilot who didn't know what the fuck he was doing but after the special bulletin came on the radio talking about it and how serious it was I got real quiet and my nerves was just froze..after the news kept reporting, the second plane hit and the 1st tower was collapsing and how bodies were just dropping, trying to frantically escape.... I really couldn't say anything because I couldn't grasp my mind to the reality like "damn..this shit is really happening" trying to pinch myself...

I didn't feel anything for that whole week after all of that happened.

I was watching on TV getting ready for school. I enjoyed the chaos. Was interesting to see how even at that moment reporters were still fake and trying to get close ups of people falling out of windows and shit...for ratings lol

I didnt give a fuck about 9/11 til I saw how it effected the country later. The actual event didnt move me really.

It was the effects of it and the fallout that fucked me up. Kind of pathetic what this country has become since then.

@ my 1st and 2nd period classes in high school. I didn't hear about the crashes until my lunch period!

Same here. I had skipped my first two classes and was getting something to eat at McDonalds and people were asking if I heard what happened.

Didn't watch any TV that morning or else I would have just stayed home watching wall 2 wall coverage of that. Thats all I did for the rest of the day when I got home. I'm guessing most people on here were in high school at that time..

I was at Fort Polk, Ky. We were an open access base at that point, but shit got shut down immediately. Took me 2 hours in line to get on base that night. It was crazy being on a military installation at that time.

was 13 and ironically in my American history class. Shit was fucked up. Its amazing how much has changed in ten years. Its seems the world was completely different. 9/11 definately caused a paradigm shift not because of the actual event, but what followed afterwards. Almost a decade of war and an economic meltdown.

In 4th grade lunch. Soon as I got home I found out why we couldn't have recess that day. I didn't feel too much for it. I just remembered being mad as hell Cartoon Network wasn't showing toonami that day *kanye shrug*
