So while in Oki, this new Army broad got stationed at Camp Kinser with some lil detachment. She was a single mother to a 6 year old boy. She was fine as fuck and she was a hooper. I was a hooper too so I seen this broad in the gym a few times a week with her son.

Fast forward a month later, my company Gunny, Gunny Boone, asked if I knew about her. We set up dinner for the very next night so it was just a 10 minute walk from the barracks.

Bruh, I was a fucked up person man. All of my scumbag stories happened between the ages of 17 and 24. I didn't give a fuck about anything or anyone at that point in my life. The way I was, was a major reason me and the wife separated after only a year of marriage. She was pregnant when we separated, and I didn't officially change the way I was until my son was born.

When my son was born, everything seemed clear. I had a purpose. When I held this baby boy in my arms, I felt like my life was starting over again. Nothing else mattered but him. I became a good person, put everyone else before me. I got out of the military because me and the wife were separated and I refused to go back overseas without my seed. We still seen each other while separated though, still had relations.

We were separated for about 3 years before she was convinced I was serious about my family. We gave it another shot, moved backnin together. I got in school and got my bachelors and masters degree in business administration.

Life has been good but I still struggle at times with my own personal demons. A nigga still would rather be out fucking random bitches. Sometimes the wife questions whether I want to be married or not. Most times I'm proud to be a husband, other times, I just want to pack my shit and leave, yearning for a taste of my past life. I realize I don't need it, doesn't mean I don't want it every now and then. I'm doing good for the most part though. October will mark 11 years of marriage. She is my best friend but at times I wanna strangle this bitch haha. I put her through a lot of unneccesary bullshit, so I just take it all in stride.

At any rate, my son is the total opposite of how I was and I'm happy about that. I raise him in what I deem the right way. I never knew my father until about 6 months ago so the streets raised me, mainly my older cousins who were from Grape St.
