but pac would grown out of thug shit

Yeah when he was sitting in prison for that parole violation (for beating down Orlando Anderson in the casino) he would have thought to himself, 'that Thug Life mentality ruined my career'.

BUT WE'LL NEVER TRULY KNOW...SO W/E RUSS :unamused:

RAP CHANGED SO MUCH AFTER THEY DIED...

SO WE'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT DIRECTION RAP WOULD'VE AND WOULDN'T HAVE WENT IF THEY WERE STILL HERE...

He's right and he's not the first person to say this either. Good thing, well according to people that knew them, neither was planning to rap very long anyway. Pac was going into acting, probably going back to jail also. biggie was planning for 3 more albums and going to just run his record label And other business things. He was going to sign camron. Could've been a big label with dipset and kim mixed with bad boy

I don't think Biggie had the business acumen to run a record label. He dropped out of high school, not saying he's stupid but there's a lot that you need to know to run a successful label. Very few people can do it. Take Suge for example, he had Pac, Snoop and Dre and couldn't make it work because he didn't know what he was doing. Also, when you're in a boardroom with lawyers and MBAs if you can't speak the language they won't respect you.

As far was Pac goes, he couldn't have kept up at the the pace he was going. He would have either got shot and killed by somebody else, in prison or blacklisted from the industry. If he was lucky he could have segued into a successful actor, but he would have to leave that Thug Life lifestyle behind him. He wouldn't be able to get acting gigs if he kept on beating down directors (or jumping people in the casino) and acting out. Also, he would have peaked at Makavelli. Not because he couldn't rap or make hot music, but because generally speaking, people are hot for two or three albums in a row and fall off. You'd have a hard time naming artists in any genre that had more than three multi platinum albums in a row.

So many rappers that dropped out still ran a successful label

Jayz, dre, Eminem, 50 cent, etc

I'll give you Jay Z.

But Dre, Eminem and 50 were all under the Interscope umbrella. They were just hot because they were under Interscope and Jimmy Iovine knew what he was doing.

And biggie had puffy and andre harrell, etc to mentor him and don't forget Jayz was his boy too. They were working on album together at the time of biggies death

Deathrow didn't fail cuz Suge didn't have a degree, Deathrow failed cuz Suge thought he was head of the Gambino family and not a business.

And Suge Knight actually did go to college, El Camino College for 2 years and then UNLV for the next 2 years.

How you gonna give em Jay but not Dre, Em, or 50 cuz they had Interscope.

Nigga if that's the case then Jay had Def Jam.

Because every rapper without exception says they're gonna open up a label and a clothing line.

Seriously, I don't think you could name a rapper over the past 20 years that didn't say he was going to start a label and a clothing line...and get into acting.

Would it have been successful? IDK but neither do you.

You keep talking this bs that you need a PhD in business to be successful when you don't.

Here I give you another example, you brought up Interscope earlier. Jimmy Iovine built that into a billion dollar record company, guess what he didn't have while doing it.........

Dumbest shit you ever wrote...... Big at age 21 had his own record label called Undeas(he co owned with Big un)...

Lil Kim was bigs artist, and Junior as well. Now think of lil'kims platinum album sales, hits from junior mafia like players anthem, get money etcetra.

He told us his name BIG stood for Business Instead Games

The man had his blueprint laid out.. he had Brooklyn mint planned(clothing line)he had a restaurant he was about to open with heavy D.. he even planned to do a joint album with fat joe at the time nobody was doing joint albums.

You talking about business acumen, all he needed to do was front the money and employ the right people like jay and diddy are doing.

Those guys employed a lot of smart people working behind the scenes for them.

If you really listen to Big talk you will easily see that he was very smart.

Another thing, I got my degree so I'm not speaking with emotion. But just cause niggas dropped out don't mean they stupid. I know alot of dumb muthafuckas that graduated
