old school (and previous gen) : 3 stacks em jay nas pun biggie rakim big l jadakiss the wu niggas etc wayne (arguable)

new:

jay elec, kendrick, cole , wale, lupe, pusha , krit, joey baddass, freddie gibbs etc

drake to me falls just short out of that lyricist bracket.

he's in the bracket with Asap(rocky and ferg), schoolboy q, travis scott( arguable..sometimes he's really trash), big sean, the game etc. all these niggas are above average at best to me. they not trash and they can definitely hold theier own with lyrical niggas on a good day, but they're just not at the bar for me to call them "lyricist"
