It dosent matter, people will see a name they dont like and say "Rolling Stone" isnt credible because they arent a Hiphop publication, or see an artist they like and say 'Friggin awesome dude".

Since when did Rolling Stone turn into Kanye West Dickriders?

Every since the public and critics responded positively to his music

I say it has no credibility cause I saw Ke$ha as the first name on the list

for real though other than that and a few other snags it is a pretty good list

Hey but real talk though, werent they hating on that nigga before his album dropped?

I know his album sick, but it seems like magazines trying to fit in and be cool by saying Kanyes album is perfect.

Who started the wave? I think rolling stone is following it.

I think rolling stone started it, if there is a wave which I doubt

If the public responds positively and the critics respond positively the magazines will follow suit, public opinion can sway the direction of these Mags because their job is to sell issues and subscriptions.

...however every rapper on their Best albums list (Drake, Big Boi, Roots, Emenim), except Ross got either a Grammy nod for Best album or for a single. (Kanye dropped too late).

Honestly this years been a good year music wise. We've seen alot of growth and artistes (souljah boy, waka flocka etc..........)actually trying to step it up from the Bubble-snap-step-step mess to actually making sense and for that I applaud them.Everybody from Jay-z to drake,ye,ross ,bun-b,roots etc to push the culture further and create kinda their own lane. But most important of all they showed GROWTH/MATURITY--content,wordplay,produciton etc.Ross was definitely overlooked major by the Grammy's this year.Besides the politics surrounding mags like complex, rolling stone etc. the true publications that stuck to hip hop (XXL,source, vibe etc)acknowledged numerous times this ninja had one of the best Top 3 rap albums (depends on how u look at it/who your favorite rappers are) this year!..in my opinion behind Em,(Ye).Nicki was smart with balancing it out.He was just crowned MAn of the year gaddmit.I mean why not with songs like Tears of joy!!!!!...for real though?!..BMF??!!!!biggest RAP song this year forget any of the ish Em put out.Everybody nd dey mama knew BMF!...ninja turned a street single mainstream come on now!..MC hammer?!..aston martin music?!..live fast die young?!..i mean come on!and jeezy being nominated this year for what???!!!jizzle??hahhahahaha

It's not a credible list because the streets aren't on it...

Typical IC Poster: what!? you mean to tell me Flockaveli" aint on the list? that album was classic! fuck rolling stone.

My point? if the "streets" don't co-sign the lst, it's not credible even though all the lists that you see are all opinions..

No way is Thank Me Later better than Recovery, but they definitely have it right with Knaye being number 1 on both lists
